Riviera Beach Fire Rescue Honor Guard Announcement

Please join us in welcoming the newest member of the Riviera Beach Fire Rescue Honor Guard, Spenser Hackler. Spenser recently attended the Honor Guard Academy in Ocala at the Florida State Fire College, investing his time and commitment to uphold the highest standards of our organization.

A special thank-you to Ron Dorsey (HGGOAT) and his esteemed staff for providing exceptional instruction and mentorship throughout the academy.

Spenser returns with outstanding knowledge, skill, and pride in the mission of the Honor Guard—serving our Department, our City, surrounding municipalities, and, most importantly, our Families.

This afternoon was the Pinning Ceremony for our new Assistant Chief Timothy Alvin, Chief Alvin was promoted from EMS Chief and we are lucky to have him at our department. It was the Honor Guards pleasure to Present the Colors for your ceremony. Congratulations Chief Alvin

So we had Family Fright Night at Riviera Beach’s Tate Recreational Center on Halloween. Each department in the city was given a house provided by our Public Works Dept. and we were tasked to decorate. Here are a few pics from the fire departments house, from beginning to end.

West Palm Beach Fire Department hosted their Annual 9/11 Stair Climb at the “Darth Vader” building. Riviera Beach Firefighter Le’Kraig Bens completed the journey—22 trips up and down the stairs 5x’s, totaling 110 stories—in honor of those who lost their lives on that tragic day. He was joined in great company by our brothers from WPBFD 🫡🇺🇸

Today, we bid farewell to a beloved friend, a great man, and a true professional. DE Shun “KoolFat” Ferrell — thank you for 30 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Riviera Beach! Your presence will be deeply missed, and things at the department just won’t be the same without you. Wishing you nothing but happiness in this next chapter.

So today we received a visit from Sandi Reuter and Jeff Morse from Brotherhood Ride, last year he & over 50 riders rode over 600 miles in 8days across Florida to Honor 14 Florida Fallen First Responders. Mark Reuter was one of those Honored. Thank you Brotherhood Ride for everything you do!!!!
