The Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency is at the heart of the dramatic transformations underway within its district. Formed in 1984 by the Riviera Beach City Council, the CRA provides funding for a wide scope of projects that incentivize economic growth through business attraction and retention; finances new and improved infrastructure for real estate projects; and generally works to exp

and the tax base by creating a welcoming environment that eliminates blight and improves the perception of safety in an area. The Agency’s main mission is to guide the city’s redevelopment efforts. This includes making investments of public funds in key infrastructure improvement projects that have the capacity to act as a catalyst for additional private funding and development, create jobs and help to improve the quality of life for city residents. In addition to capital investments, the CRA has also created and supported many programs that enhance daily life in Riviera Beach. These include renovations to Beach Park and revitalization of the city’s marina to give families public access to the waterfront and its amenities; funding to not-for-profit organizations to build new homes, improve neighborhoods and provide services to area residents; the Clean and Safe Program, which provides resources to enhance the visual appeal and security of our communities; and our Business Services and Grant Incentives programs, which eliminates blight, attract and retain businesses in the area to help maintain the economic stability of the city.

Dreaming of Homeownership in Riviera Beach? The RENAISSANCE Program Can Help!

The Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency is offering up to $50,000 in Down Payment and Closing Cost Assistance through its RENAISSANCE Program to help eligible first-time homebuyers purchase a home in Riviera Beach.

⚠️ IMPORTANT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT ⚠️
👉 Funding is available ONLY for homes being purchased within the Riviera Beach CRA Boundary (CRA District).
Properties located outside of the CRA District are not eligible for assistance.

Program Highlights:
Up to $50,000 in assistance
Covers down payment and closing costs
Available for the purchase of single-family homes
Home must be located within the CRA Boundary

Basic Eligibility Requirements:
Must be a First-Time Homebuyer
Must complete an approved First-Time Homebuyer Education Program
Must meet program income requirements (income-certified)
Property being purchased must be located within the CRA District

Funding is Limited

Applications are processed on a first-qualified, first-served basis.

The Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency is now accepting applications for the Neighborhood RECLAIM Home Rehabilitation Program, which provides up to $50,000 in funding to help eligible homeowners make critical repairs and exterior improvements to their homes.

⚠️ IMPORTANT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT ⚠️
👉 Your property MUST be located within the Riviera Beach CRA District (CRA Boundary) to qualify for assistance.
Homes located outside of the CRA District are not eligible for funding.

📋 Basic eligibility requirements:
Property must be a single-family, owner-occupied home
Property must be located within the CRA Boundary
Property cannot be delinquent on property taxes
Property cannot be delinquent on mortgage payments
Property cannot be in foreclosure

🏠 Eligible improvements may include:
✔️ Roof repair or replacement
✔️ Exterior painting
✔️ Fence replacement
✔️ Driveway repair
✔️ Landscaping and irrigation
✔️ Impact windows and doors
✔️ Weatherization improvements

⏳ Funding is limited
Applications will be processed on a first-qualified, first-served basis, with priority given to repairs that address health, safety, and code violations.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Palm Beach County Department of Housing and Economic Development hereby announces the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Emergency Repairs Program (Phase I). Funding will provide up to $75,000 to assist low-income eligible owner-occupied residences with addressing emergency conditions such as roofing, electrical, plumbing, hurricane hardening (impact windows, doors, etc.), and structural repairs for residents age 62 and older, veterans, and/or special needs applicants.

The online pre-application portal opens on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 8:00 AM and closes on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 11:59 PM.

PRE-APPLICATION ORIENTATION: Before submitting an application, applicants may attend one of the virtual pre-application orientations listed below. Orientations are not mandatory, but are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
