Please note: Items will not be available for immediate pickup. All orders will be placed after the ordering window closes, and items will be sent home with students once the order arrives (late September/early October).

There is no school tomorrow, September 7th, because of the Labor Day holiday.

Reminders for the Week: Our PTA Papa John’s Nifty 50 fundraiser ends tomorrow. Please submit any online orders by tomorrow. Any students who have order forms and cash should turn those in to their homeroom teacher or Mrs. Daniels in the media center tomorrow as well.

Open house is Thursday, September 3rd from 3:30-5 PM. Repeated sessions run at 3:30, 4:00, and 4:30 in classrooms. This is an opportunity to connect with your child’s grade-level team, learn more about the classroom experience, and discover ways to stay engaged throughout the school year.

Our first spirit night of the year is Wednesday, August 26th at East Coast Pizza. This is an all-day event. Be sure to mention Summerfield Crossings Elementary when ordering OR use the promo code SPIRITNIGHT at checkout for online orders. Orders placed through third-party delivery services such as Uber Eats or DoorDash are not eligible for the fundraiser.

Friday is College Spirit Day! With college football kickoff weekend here, everyone is encouraged to wear a shirt or hat to show support for their favorite team.

If you would like to learn more about the PTA and what other fundraisers and events are planned for the year, join us for the PTA general assembly meeting on Wednesday, August 19th at 5pm in the media center.

Friday is Kona Ice day. Prices start at $5, and all sales support the 5th grade end-of-year activities. Please send money with your student if they want to participate; no money will be accepted in the office or delivered to classrooms.

Reminders for the week: Tomorrow is the first day of school!

Doors open at 7:10 AM, and school begins at 7:40 AM. Parents may walk their child(ren) to class tomorrow morning only. All parents must enter and exit through the front door of the main office. Please plan ahead for limited parking, and remember that the bus ramp must remain clear whenever school buses are present.

Breakfast and lunch are FREE for all SCES students daily.

Make sure your child's teacher knows how your student is going home. If you have not already communicated a dismissal plan, please do so as soon as possible.

Tomorrow is an early release day with dismissal at 12:55 PM. The remainder of the week, dismissal will be at 1:55 PM. Please be patient with the car line and bus arrival times. The first few days will likely take longer than usual as everyone gets into a routine.

All district-level required back-to-school forms are available digitally through the Focus Parent Portal. Students will be bringing home some additional school-specific paperwork that needs to be signed and returned on Tuesday.

STUDENT SCHEDULES: Beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, August 4, families can view student schedules through the HCPS Focus Parent Portal.

To access your student's schedule, you'll first need to complete all required back-to-school forms online. Through the portal, families can complete required acknowledgments and permissions and submit everything electronically. No paperwork required!

Reminder: Student schedules will be available after all required back-to-school forms have been completed.
