This month, we welcome Dianne Horncastle, Director of Opportunity with ECHO, for an important conversation about transportation barriers in Brandon and Riverview and how those barriers affect individuals and access to community services.

For nonprofits, transportation can be much more than a matter of getting from Point A to Point B. When the people you serve can't easily reach food assistance, healthcare, employment, education, appointments, or other essential resources, it can create another obstacle between need and help.

That’s why we want nonprofit leaders at the table.

The BRCC Nonprofit Council is designed to bring organizations together to share resources, exchange ideas, build relationships, discuss common challenges, and identify opportunities for collaboration. Sometimes another organization has a resource you need — or you have the missing piece that can help someone else better serve our community.

This Monday, the Brandon Riverview Chamber of Commerce is proud to spotlight St. Stephen Parish & School, a longtime part of the Riverview community dedicated to faith, education, service, and bringing people together.

St. Stephen Catholic Church describes itself as a welcoming family committed to growing together in Christ and sharing its gifts throughout the greater community. That commitment reaches far beyond worship, with opportunities for children, youth, adults, and families to learn, connect, volunteer, and serve others.

Community service is an important part of St. Stephen’s mission. Its ministries support a variety of outreach efforts, including works of mercy, assistance for people experiencing homelessness, parish and school activities, and programs serving families and children. St. Stephen also offers extensive Faith Formation programs and numerous opportunities for volunteers to share their time and talents.

This Monday, the Brandon Riverview Chamber of Commerce is proud to spotlight Chamber member Adjusters – TA11 Riverview, led locally by Brian Washington, Owner/Operator and licensed Public Adjuster.

When your home or business suffers property damage, navigating an insurance claim can quickly become overwhelming. Tiger Adjusters works for the policyholder, helping homeowners and commercial property owners understand their coverage, document their losses, prepare detailed estimates and paperwork, and negotiate with the insurance company on their behalf.

The Riverview team serves communities throughout our area, including Brandon, Riverview, Valrico, Lithia, Fish Hawk, Apollo Beach, Ruskin, Sun City Center and more. 🎉 RIBBON CUTTING RECAP | The Moreland Way Family Health! 🎉

The Brandon Riverview Chamber of Commerce was proud to celebrate the Grand Opening of The Moreland Way Family Health PLLC with an official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony! ✂️💙

BRCC President Amber Aaron welcomed Chamber members, community leaders, friends, and guests before inviting owner Amber Moreland-Holmes to share more about her new practice and the heart behind its mission.

The Moreland Way Family Health is a Nurse Practitioner–led practice providing comprehensive primary care and integrated mental health services for patients and families. Their whole-person, patient-centered approach focuses on both physical and emotional well-being, creating an environment where patients can feel heard, supported, and empowered in their health journey.

Following the ribbon cutting, Brandon Riverview Honorary Mayor and BRCC Ambassador Abraham Agosto made the celebration even more memorable by reading a special proclamation declaring September 10 as “The Moreland Way Family Health Day!” 🎉

Guests also had the opportunity to tour the clinic, enjoy light refreshments, take photos, network, and learn more about the services available through this new Chamber member.

Congratulations to Amber Moreland-Holmes and the entire team at The Moreland Way Family Health on this exciting new chapter! We wish you tremendous success as you serve and care for families throughout our community.
