To my constituents in House District 55,

As you may have heard, I did not file for re-election. This was not because I did not want to. Due to unforeseen circumstances with the house we lived in, we stayed in a camper that was just outside the district, over the winter, while we looked for another place to live inside district. It was always my intent to get back into district as soon as we could find a place, and continue giving the people an option to have a conservative voice in Cheyenne. However, I did not realize, by doing so, I would no longer meet the requirement set in the oath I would have to sign which specifically pertains to Wyoming Statute 22-5-102, which says that I have lived in my district for 12 months prior to filing. As I look back, I realize that this was my mistake. I apologize to those who supported and voted for me, for not doing my due diligence in this matter. If I were to sign the oath, I would be opening myself up to legal action, as the penalties for being in violation of the oath would constitute a felony offense. My goal has always been to give the people of District 55 a conservative option. Regretfully, I won’t be able to do that this election. Again, you have my sincerest apologies for failing you.

Guggenmos Announces Re-Election Bid for House District 55

Rep. Joel Guggenmos HD-55 represents Fremont county and is in his first term in the Wyoming House of Representatives. He won his first election handily by 10.8 points again incumbent Ember Oakley.

What a great group of legislators there is on this list. It is a privilege serving the Wyoming people along side them. I encourage you to look at our voting record and see if it aligns with what we campaigned on and with your values. The Wyoming people are conservative at heart. Make sure those representing you are putting actions to their words. Otherwise it is deception, and you deserve better.

Judicial tyranny is a very real problem right here in Wyoming. The legislature should be the ones holding these judges to account. That is my desire as a representative for House District 55. No more sitting back and shrugging the shoulders, saying ‘This is just the way it is.’ We need to fight and stand for justice, law and order.

Capitol Security Video Surrounding Check Incident Deleted

Whether the security footage requested was overwritten by the Capitol’s security system or if it was intentionally deleted, the result is the same. Those records do not exist anymore. One thing is certain, this is a staggering breach of government transparency, unintentional or otherwise.
