During the Red Leg Social on Friday evening, four former members of the Regiment were presented with their Ancient Order of Saint Barbara. From left to right, the recipients were CW5 Jeff Issa, a former S3; COL Jason Wilde, a former 3rd Battalion Commander; CSM (R) Mike Sherratt, a former 3rd Battalion Instructor; and CSEL Spencer Nielsen, a former Regiment CSM. This esteemed organization draws its foundation upon the legacy of legendary figures.

This week, the Regiment shifted its focus to our 3rd Battalion, Red Legs. The majority of the week was spent at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, at the Fires Center of Excellence, where we engaged in discussions about the future of institutional training for our artillerymen.

We concluded the week by hosting the annual Reg Leg Social at the Zermatt Resort. LTC Adam Ashworth and MSG James Narromore, along with the entire 3rd Battalion team, worked tirelessly to organize and execute the event. They even managed to get a little ribbing in at the CSM since he is the queen of battle. All while celebrating the National Guard’s 388th birthday.
