The re-dedication plaque is now on the Swinging Bridge! We unfortunately couldn't get it installed in time for the ceremony last month (event video still forthcoming), but we want to thank North Riverside Public Works for assisting with the installation of the plaque just this week. Stop by the bridge and check it out!

Riverside Township will kick off the celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary by rededicating the “Swinging Bridge” to the residents of the Township on Friday, May 15th.

A reception will immediately follow in the Town Hall auditorium, first with a performance by the Riverside Brookfield High School jazz ensemble and then ending with a special presentation by the Riverside Township Radio Players.

The ceremony begins at 6:00 pm at the Bridge; see you all there!

The Riverside Township Assessor will be holding an appeals outreach for property owners, along with the Cook County Assessor's Office, on Wednesday May 13th, from 6pm - 8pm in the 2nd floor Auditorium of the Town Hall. Staff will be on hand to offer assistance with appeals and answer any questions about the process or about the triennial reassessment. Read more at the link below:
