The District Attorney’s Office, led by Terry Brown at the Rancho Cucamonga courthouse, must be held accountable. We believe prosecutors have used intimidation and pressure to influence judges and obtain the outcomes they want.
Judges know that prosecutors may attempt to “paper” them—seeking their removal from a case—when rulings do not favor the prosecution. We believe this is what happened to Judge Michael Camber after he followed the law, costing him his position.
We are also raising serious concerns about officers changing their testimony from one trial to another and false information appearing in police reports. These allegations deserve a full, independent investigation.
My son was only 18 years old when he was arrested. We believe misconduct—not a fair and impartial process—was used to obtain his conviction. If this happened to him, how many other people and families may have experienced the same injustice?
Justice should never be about conviction numbers at any cost. Everyone is entitled to a fair and impartial trial. Corruption and official misconduct have no place in our justice system.
We demand transparency, accountability and justice.
