Uniformed members from across California came together for the CHP's first ever Native-Tribal Liaison Summit at Headquarters. This specialized training focused on strengthening relationships between law enforcement and Native communities.

We’d like to extend a special thank you to the following speakers for sharing their knowledge and perspectives:

• Assemblymember James Ramos, 45th District – San Bernardino County
• Sergeant Karie Mendoza –
• Officer Kiuya Brown –
• Janet Bill –
• Chief Greg O’Rourke –

The CHP is proud to be at the forefront of providing training that builds understanding, strengthens partnerships, and helps bridge the gap between law enforcement and the communities we serve.

On Wednesday, August 19, 2026, The California Highway Patrol was proud to attend the Senior Expo hosted by the Dales Senior Center located at White Park. We had a great time sharing our Age Well Drive Smart program with the community.

We spoke with those that attended about staying safe, confident, and independent on the road. Officers handed out resources and discussed practical "keys to driving safer and driving longer."

Keeping California's older drivers safe and secure remains a priority. Thank you to everyone who stopped by -- it was great connecting with you

For more information or to find an Age Well Drive Smart class near you, visit chp.ca.gov. or contact your local CHP office. Funding for this program is provided by a grant from the California OTS through the USDOT NHTSA.
