Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District Mission:
We responsibly manage stormwater in service of safe, sustainable and livable communities.

The Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (District) is one of three entities serving the drainage needs of the County of Riverside and its cities. The District’s service area (2,700 square miles) covers the western third of the county, with its eastern limits extending through parts of Cathedral City.

The Flood Control & Water Conservation team had the opportunity to participate in a variety of competitions, judge several events, and showcase our equipment, including water trucks, a gradall, and wheeled skid steers.

Relay For Life, hosted by the American Cancer Society, is a meaningful event dedicated to raising funds and awareness for cancer research and support programs. Our Flood Control team proudly participated with Second District Supervisor Karen Spiegel's team by taking turns walking the track for 24 hours, symbolizing that cancer never sleeps.

The relay began on Saturday, May 16 at 8:00 AM and concluded on Sunday, May 17 at 9:00 AM.

Thank you to everyone who came out this weekend to support such an important cause and make a difference in the fight against cancer!

This past Saturday, Riverside Flood Control & Water Conservation District attended the 3rd Annual Public Works Department Open House hosted by the City of Jurupa Valley.

The event featured interactive activities, opportunities to meet the team, and a chance for the community to get up close to heavy equipment at the Jurupa Valley Operations Center.
