What do you have to be thankful for? We here at Marine Corps Career Center are thankful for our Marine Recruiters who work day after day for just the reward of seeing the Poolees achieve greater in life. To our Poolees, thank you for making this a gigantic experience and the future is going to be huge. Keep learning and growing no matter what. This also goes out to our extended Marine Corps/Poolees families. We are all in this together to build the future of our beloved Corps and to develop quality citizens.

To my brothers and sisters who cannot make it home on this day, God bless you, you are in our Hearts and minds and will be thought of constantly. Happy Thanksgiving and Semper Fidelis.

Congratulations to Private Chris Jester on becoming a United States Marine. Pvt Jester is a Mattituck High School Graduate of 2016 and enlisted in the beginning of his Senior year! His next journey will take him to Marine combat training and then off to his Military Occupational Specialty School as a Aviation Mechanic in Pensacola, Florida! Good luck!

On November 10, 1775, a Corps of Marines was created by a resolution of Continental Congress. Since that date many thousand men have borne the name "Marine". In memory of them it is fitting that we who are Marines should commemorate the birthday of our corps by calling to mind the glories of its long and illustrious history. Happy 241st Birthday Marines, and many more to come!
