These girls worked hard, had fun, and absolutely crushed it! 💪🏐 We’re proud to support our local athletes and appreciate everyone who came out to support them.

🚑 TEAMWORK WHEN IT MATTERS MOST 🚒🚓🚁

Today, Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance responded to the Long Island Expressway for a serious rollover motor vehicle accident.

Riverhead Fire Department crews worked hard to stabilize the vehicle, allowing our EMTs to safely climb inside and begin stabilizing and treating the patient while extrication operations were underway.

Riverhead Police Department quickly shut down the expressway, secured the scene, and assisted in coordinating a medical helicopter—which landed directly on the expressway.

Stony Brook Hospital EMTs and paramedics were also on scene, working side-by-side with our crews. The patient was safely extricated under the watchful eye of Chief Philips and transferred for further care.

This call was a great example of what our EMS system is all about. Our RVAC members, Riverhead Fire Department, Riverhead Police Department, Stony Brook Hospital crews, and aviation personnel all worked together seamlessly toward one goal:

Helping someone in need. ❤️

Outstanding work by everyone involved. We are incredibly proud of our crews and grateful for the strong working relationship between all of the agencies that serve our community.

🚑☀️ Even EMS needs a little downtime!

We spend a lot of time together on calls, in the ambulance, and sometimes in situations that are anything but relaxing. This weekend, the RVAC family got a chance to let our hair down, laugh, relax, and enjoy our Summer Social! 😎🎉

Because when you spend enough time answering calls together, you stop being just coworkers—you become family. ❤️

No sirens, no radios, no “what’s your ETA?”… just good food, great laughs, and even better company. 😂🚑

🚑 FALSE ALARM AT COSTCO! 🌭😂

RVAC got called out to Costco today, and thankfully, it turned out to be a false alarm! With this heat, though, we’re definitely not complaining about ending up somewhere with plenty of cold drinks… and apparently hamburger buns. 😂

☀️ It is HOT out there today! Please remember to stay hydrated, take breaks in the shade or A/C, and keep an eye on friends, family, and neighbors for signs of heat exhaustion.

Since we were already at Costco… we figured a false alarm might just be the universe telling us it’s time to grab some buns and fire up the BBQ! 🌭🍔🔥
