Thank you to everyone who came out to support the 9/11 Game: Police vs. Fire Basketball Showdown on Friday, September 11, 2026, as we commemorated the 25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001.

And what a night it was! πŸ†πŸ”₯ Clayton County Fire & Emergency Services brought home the trophy! Congratulations to our very own Firefighter Joseph Wimbley, who was named the Game MVP! πŸ†πŸ‘πŸ½

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Chairwoman Dr. Alieka Anderson-Henry, Commissioner Gail Hambrick, and Clayton County Parks and Recreation for helping make this memorable event possible.

Most importantly, thank you to our community, our public safety partners, and everyone who came out to support and honor the lives lost and the heroes who answered the call on September 11, 2001.

This Friday, we invite you to join Chairwoman Dr. Alieka Anderson-Henry and Fire Chief Tim Sweat as we commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

The observance will begin at 8:46 a.m. at Clayton County Fire & Emergency Services Headquarters, located at 6345 Garden Walk Blvd., Riverdale, GA 30274β€”the exact time American Airlines Flight 11 struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center.

As part of this solemn remembrance, CCFES will unveil a 25th Anniversary Commemorative Plaque honoring those who lost their lives, the heroes who selflessly answered the call, and our enduring promise to never forget.

Join us as we remember September 11, 2001, and honor the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering spirit that continues to inspire our nation.
