🏡 Important Information for River Vale Property Owners 🏡

The Township of River Vale, under the direction of the Bergen County Board of Taxation and the New Jersey Division of Taxation, will be conducting a town-wide property reassessment for the 2027 tax year to ensure fair and equitable property assessments.

Over the coming months, representatives from Appraisal Systems, Inc. will be visiting all properties to perform exterior inspections, including measuring and photographing buildings. Interior inspections will also be required and may be scheduled during the process.

⚠️ Please remember:
- Inspectors will carry official photo identification.
- Their names will be registered with the River Vale Police Department and the Township Clerk’s Office.
- Do not allow anyone into your home without proper identification.

**All roads that were closed due to storm damage have been reopened**

Rivervale Road southbound is closed at Piermont Ave due to a downed tree. Orangeburgh Road between Rivervale Road and Woodside Ave is closed due to downed utility pole. Please follow posted detours and use alternate routes. This will be a prolonged closure due to last nights storm.

Today, members of the River Vale Police Department proudly participated in the annual New Jersey Law Enforcement Torch Run, carrying the "Flame of Hope" in support of the athletes of Special Olympics New Jersey. The Torch Run is one of the largest fundraising and awareness efforts for Special Olympics, bringing together thousands of law enforcement officers across the state to support inclusion, determination, and achievement.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the students, staff, and families of Holdrum Middle School for their incredible participation and fundraising efforts. Through their generosity and commitment to this outstanding cause, they helped make a meaningful impact on the lives of Special Olympics athletes throughout New Jersey.
