🍦☀️ Early Open, Summer Fun & Family Activities at the River Vale Farmer’s Market! ☀️🍦

School is almost out, summer is underway, and there’s no better place to spend a Thursday afternoon than the River Vale Farmer’s Market!

Join us this Thursday, June 18, from 12 PM–6 PM at 406 Rivervale Road for an afternoon filled with fresh local food, live music, family activities, community connections, and plenty of summer fun.
⏰ We're opening early at noon!

And a special reminder to all Holdrum Middle School families: with early dismissal at 1 PM, be sure to send your children with a few dollars for lunch or a snack at the market before they head over. It's a great opportunity for students to enjoy the market, grab something delicious, and kick off summer with friends.

🎶 From 3 PM–6 PM, enjoy the laid-back acoustic sounds of Steve Kelman as he provides the perfect soundtrack for a relaxing summer afternoon. Stop by and enjoy some great live music while you shop and dine.

Public Works Laborer – Township of River Vale, Bergen County seeks qualified individual for full-time position to perform routine work pertaining to the construction, maintenance, repair and cleaning of streets, drains, sewers, snow removal, parks and playgrounds, public facilities, leaf, brush and solid waste and recycling collection. Heavy manual labor in adverse weather
conditions required.

Successful applicants are required to possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license, obtain a CDL Class A within one year of hire. Applicants must be a NJ resident per State laws. Successful applicants must undergo a background check and drug test along with a drivers abstract prior to appointment. Salary range $47,022.83 - $57,793.85.

🏡 Important Information for River Vale Property Owners 🏡
The Township of River Vale, under the direction of the Bergen County Board of Taxation and the New Jersey Division of Taxation, will be conducting a town-wide property reassessment for the 2027 tax year to ensure fair and equitable property assessments.
Over the coming months, representatives from Appraisal Systems, Inc. will be visiting all properties to perform exterior inspections, including measuring and photographing buildings. Interior inspections will also be required and may be scheduled during the process.

- Inspectors will carry official photo identification.
- Their names will be registered with the River Vale Police Department and the Township Clerk’s Office.
- Do not allow anyone into your home without proper identification.

The Township of River Vale is proud to welcome the Ridgewood Symphony Orchestra back for our 3rd annual Symphony in the Park FREE event on Saturday, June 27 from 3:00 to 4:30 PM at Upper Grove Field (across from the River Vale Library at 412 Rivervale Rd.).

This performance, titled “Pops & Americana,” is a perfect nod towards our Nation’s 250th jubilee this year!

In addition to the concert, the town has also created a limited edition embroidered River Vale 250th boat bag that you can use for all your Summer outings this year! They will be available for purchase at this event for $40 (check or cash, only)

Residents are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and light refreshments to enjoy a late afternoon filled with world-class music and community togetherness.

The past two years we’ve seen this concert draw an enthusiastic crowd of over 250 people and we always receive glowing feedback from attendees.

Limited parking is available on-site, with additional parking at the River Vale Library and the Holdrum Middle School lot across the street. Please note: In the event of severe weather, the concert will be cancelled with no rain date.
