Village of Risingsun Ohio This page was created to update and inform our village of community happenings. Risingsun is a Village in Northwestern Ohio and located in Wood county Ohio

We are a small community in Northwestern Ohio . Risingsun has a Police Department and a volunteer Fire Department . Our village has a park building that is available for rental and also an Opera house that is available for functions. There are multiple ball fields along with a park and a walking track..We are small in size but big in HEART!!

IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES
February 11th at 10 a.m. the RisingSun Historical Society will be hosting an open to the public meeting at the First Church of God please try to attend to give your input it would be greatly appreciated.
February 28th at 6:30 p.m. there will be a town hall meeting at the community park building it is an informational meeting that everyone should try their best to attend because there are things happening in our village you should be aware of.
And last but not least our Opera House above the village town hall is available for rental if you have any interest or know anyone that does please contact the village Clerk at 419 457 4435

Don't forget this Friday night at the community building it is the village Christmas party from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. and next Friday night at 6 p.m. is the Christmas tree lighting at Central Park hope to see everyone there

Just a reminder that Village Council meets tomorrow night at 6:30 pm all are welcome. The kids Christmas party at the park building is December 2, 2016 from 6-8 pm. The Christmas Tree lighting will be December 9, 2016 at 6 pm at Central park ( the old school lot). Wishing everyone a safe and Happy Thanksgiving be safe in your travels.
