Rising Sun’s America 250th Anniversary Parade

Saturday, August 8, 2026

Parade starts at 10:00am

Parade Route:

Starts E.Main St and Ryan Drive. The Parade will head west on E. Main St. through the center of town to Wilson Ave.

Closed Roads:

E. Main St from Ryan Drive to W. Main St. Cooper St. Wilson Ave., s/o W.Main to Cherry St., Cherry St from S.Walnut to Wilson Ave. S.Queen St from E. Main to Cherry St.

Road closures will begin approximate 0945am and will remain in place until the event is complete.
Detours will be in place.

Please plan your routes of travel to the area.

Thank you Rising Sun, Cecil County States Attorney, Delmarva Power, Community Fire Company of Rising Sun, Maryland Department of Emergency Services, The AJ Peterson Band, MD State Traffic Safety, APGFCU, Utilitrain, North East Rotary Club, Chris’s Cupboard, ENB, Plumpton Park Zoo, Jerry Scarborough, Live for Tomas, MSP North East and JFK Hwy, Cecil County Health Department, Girl Scouts, and Boy Scouts, and MSP aviation TROOPER 1 for supporting the Rising Sun Community National Night Out. A community that fights crime is a community that reduces crime.

We can’t wait to see our community line Main Street for one of the biggest celebrations of the summer!
