Did you know that April is — and we are proud to shine a spotlight on the incredible work of our Occupational Therapy team here at The Waters of Rising Sun!

Occupational therapy in a skilled nursing setting is all about helping residents maintain or regain independence in their daily lives. From getting dressed, bathing, and safely moving around, to rebuilding strength after surgery, illness, or hospitalization — our OTs play a vital role in helping residents return to the activities that matter most to them.

To our amazing OT staff — April Troxel, Ally Kohls, Amy Davies, and Nanette Iceburg - thank you for your compassion, patience, and unwavering dedication to our residents.

If you or a loved one are navigating recovery or need support with daily activities, occupational therapy can make all the difference and our team at The Waters would be happy to assist!

Happy Long-Term Care Administrators Week to Britain O’Banion! 🎉

Britain has been the Administrator at The Waters of Rising Sun since the fall of 2023 and has been part of The Waters family since 2020. Her heart is truly in our facility, and she considers it her home away from home.

Britain is known for her hands-on leadership style and prefers to be right in the middle of everything happening in the building. Early on in her tenure as Administrator, she was told that this building is a hidden gem in Rising Sun — and she has been working to polish it a little more every day.

Britain takes great pride in our team and the community and is very grateful to call Rising Sun home. We are so thankful for her leadership and dedication!
