The library will be closed on Tuesday, June 2nd, due to other commitments of our volunteers. We will be open on Thursday, June 4th from 3 pm to 5 pm again.

We have three healthy chicks at the library. We'll have them til 1 pm and then they go to their new owner. We've had new faces at the library today! Wisconsin and Kansas and Lincoln visitors.

We had a nice turnout at the library today from out of-state and out-of-town RCPS alumni. They came from Amarillo, TX, Pekin, Il; Des Moines, IA; Omaha, Lincoln, Columbus. Thank you to all who gave donations, too.
We also have chicks pipping today....should have baby chicks by tomorrow!

The library will be open from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm on Saturday (instead of 9 am-Noon). This change is made to hopefully have some alumni stop by and view the graduate photos we now have on display, plus yearbooks and RCPS memorabilia.

"What's The Scoop" ice cream truck has been busy since 3 pm. The library has seen some new faces in the library which is always exciting. They are here at the library til 7 pm...stop by and support them.

We are getting real excited for our chicks to hatch! We have about four or five days before they start making their appearance, right over Memorial Weekend! We candled them today and 17 out of 18 eggs show viable hatches. Hoping they all make it. Stop in this Thursday afternoon or Saturday afternoon to see them...thanks to Janessa at Nebraska Extension in Butler County who has helped extensively on this educational opportunity.

Don't forget to RSVP for your meal next Tuesday, May 26th at the library. We need to hear from you "today"! The Butler county senior services requires the count now earlier than in the past. So please help us get the information to them sooner.
