Attention Ripley water customers: Due to a major water line being accidentally cut, the majority of the city will experience a temporary water outage. Crews are on site and working to restore service as quickly as possible. We expect the outage to last for about the next hour.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we resolve this issue.

04/21/2026

Attention water customers in the Buena Vista area: Water services will be interrupted beginning at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow and will remain off until sometime after lunch for repairs and the installation of a new fire hydrant. This will affect customers from CR 701 to the Union County Line. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Attention City of Ripley Residents:

The contracting crews working hard to clean up debris from Winter Storm Fern are preparing to make their final rounds through our city. Most crews are expected to be here for only a few more weeks.

If you have any remaining storm debris that needs to be collected, please get it to the curbside as soon as possible to ensure it is picked up.

For those living along state highways, please note that MDOT will soon begin their own debris pickup in those areas.

Thank you for your cooperation as we work together to restore our community!

Due to sickness we will not be running our regular garbage pick up route in the City of Ripley today. Please keep your trash at the curb and it will get picked up tomorrow. We will be running a day behind the rest of the week. I apologize for the inconvenience. Thanks

Attention Ripley Residents:

Please do not park your vehicles in front of brush piles or debris set out for curbside pickup. When cars block access, our trucks can’t get close enough to collect your storm debris, slowing service for everyone.

Help us keep Ripley clean and safe—park away from brush piles until crews have finished pickup in your area. Thank you for your cooperation!

Due to the impacts of Ice Storm Fern, the Board of Aldermen voted at Tuesday night’s meeting to waive all late fees for utility bills in February and March. This means if you are unable to pay your bill on time in March or April, you will not be charged a late fee.

However, please note that service cut-offs will still occur if bills are not paid within the required timeframe (12 days after the due date). We strongly encourage everyone to make payments promptly to avoid any service interruptions.

If you have questions about your account balance or need assistance, please contact our office. We’re here to help!
