After being rescheduled back in June, we’re excited to announce the new date for the Buffalo Trace Motor Club Cruise & Car Show for a Cause benefiting the Village of Ripley Police Department!

Join us on Saturday, July 25, for a day of amazing vehicles, great food, prizes, and community fun—all while supporting your local police department.

🍧🚓 Introducing Pops with Cops! 🚓🍧

The Village of Ripley Police Department is excited to introduce a new community event that we hope will become a summer tradition!

Pops with Cops is all about bringing our officers and community together in a relaxed, fun setting. On a hot summer day, we’ll be stopping at intersections throughout the Village, handing out FREE ice pops, meeting residents, and taking the time to have conversations that build trust and strengthen relationships.

🕛 Time: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
📍 Location: We’ll be stopping at intersections throughout the Village of Ripley handing out FREE ice pops to help everyone cool off while getting to know the officers who proudly serve our community.

Whether you stop by for an ice pop, to say hello, or just to chat, we’d love to meet you. We hope this new event is the first of many opportunities to connect with the people we serve.

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from the Ripley Police Department! 🇺🇸

As we celebrate the 250th Anniversary of America, we wanted to share this special photo with our community. The brilliant fireworks lighting up the night sky over the Ohio River, a riverboat passing below, perfectly captures the pride, history, and beauty of our town.

For generations, the Ohio River has been at the heart of Ripley’s story, and seeing the fireworks reflected across the water with the riverboat in the foreground makes this milestone even more meaningful. It’s a reminder of our nation’s rich history and the important role our river community has played throughout it.

From all of us at the Ripley Police Department, we wish everyone a safe, happy, and memorable Independence Day. Thank you for helping us celebrate 250 years of America’s freedom in one of the most beautiful river towns in Ohio.

Today, we celebrate an extraordinary milestone—250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. For two and a half centuries, our nation has stood as a symbol of freedom, opportunity, resilience, and hope.

As we honor this historic anniversary, let us remember the courage and sacrifice of those who came before us, give thanks to the men and women who continue to defend our freedoms, and recommit ourselves to building a stronger future for generations to come.

Here in Ripley, we are proud of our rich history and the role our community has played in America’s story. May we continue to embody the values of service, neighbor helping neighbor, and the enduring spirit that makes our town and our nation so special.

🇺🇸 Happy Fourth of July Weekend from the Ripley Police Department! 🇺🇸

As we celebrate our nation’s independence, we encourage everyone to enjoy the holiday safely and responsibly. Whether you’re attending a fireworks show, spending time with family, or enjoying time on the Ohio River, let’s work together to make this a safe and memorable weekend for everyone.

🎆 Fireworks Safety
• Use legal consumer fireworks only during permitted hours.
• Keep a safe distance and have water nearby.
• Never allow children to handle or ignite fireworks.
• Leave the large displays to the professionals whenever possible.

🚔 Don’t Drink & Drive
If you’re celebrating with alcohol, make a plan before you go.
✔️ Designate a sober driver.
✔️ Call a friend, rideshare, or taxi.
✔️ Stay the night if needed.

Our department will be out throughout the holiday weekend working to keep our community safe. Please make smart decisions so everyone can arrive home safely.

🇺🇸 Honoring 250 Years of America 🇺🇸

As part of the 250th Anniversary of the United States, the Ripley Police Department is proud to wear these commemorative 250th Anniversary Liberty pins to honor our nation’s rich history and the freedoms we are sworn to protect.

Our department will proudly wear these pins throughout the entire Independence Day weekend and for the remainder of this anniversary year as a symbol of our commitment to honoring America’s 250 years of liberty, service, and sacrifice.

For 250 years, America has stood as a beacon of freedom, courage, and opportunity. We are grateful to all who have served our country and our community, and we are honored to recognize this historic milestone.
