It has been a long and busy year for the men and women of the southern Jackson county VFD this year. Saturday night was our annual Christmas dinner, we had a fantastic time with our fire department family and our families out side the department. We had lots of laughs and great food. There is a lot of good things happening right now for the department and community alike, we will update everyone on what’s coming as soon as we can. Thank you to all our firefighters and community for making so much of what we do possible!

SJCVFD Station 70 would like to invite the community to Stop by the Fire station at 9015 Charleston Road Ripley wv on Friday October 31st from 6pm to 7:30pm, we will be handing out candy to all of our trick or treaters! Be safe and have a wonderful Halloween.

Just a reminder to everyone, the gun raffle if getting close. We will be drawing 2 winners on November 14th first draw gets pick of what gun he or she wants. Tickets are $20.00 each or 6 for $100.00..you can stop by the station at 9015 Charleston road Ripley West Virginia on Monday,Tuesday and Thursday every week form 6pm to 9pm or you can contact one or our members for tickets..again thank you for your support in advance.

The men and women of the southern Jackson county volunteer fire department station 70 would like to thank our community for coming out today and supporting our fundraising efforts. Thanks to you we raised $2,000.00 dollars to put toward much needed equipment. We hope to see you at our next fundraising event. We would also like to thank our firefighters for all the hard work cooking and setting up and tearing down the yard sale along with the work you do daily to keep our community safe.
