This evening Montezuma Fire had our annual family Christmas Dinner. We did have a star appearance from Santa Claus. As usual Santa stole the show.

This morning Montezuma Fire personnel helped the Saint Vincent de Paul organization with unloading and packing of food items for their Christmas dinner giveaway. Thank you Lira's Supermarket for the food and help this morning too.

This evening the Montezuma Firefighters Association had the privilege to share the same gym floor with this year’s coming league champions.

It’s a great honor to support our local youth groups. This is only a small amount from what’s needed to keep these sporting events active and going. We are proud to be able to do our part and make a difference in tomorrow’s NBA players and future leaders of America. Keep up the great work boys. We are all proud of you.

Montezuma Fire participated at the annual Rio Vista High School Career Day. It was great exposing the next generation to the “Firefighter Experience.” Great discussion on equipment and gear used, type of calls experienced, education needed, and physical strength required.

The photos below show the smiles of the next group of firefighters experiencing the “1 Minute” drill. There was plenty of competition and not to mention the bragging rights that will be discussed for the rest of the school year.

Being placed next to Medic Ambulance Service we ran some joint effort drills with them at their presentation station. Our next firefighters got dressed up, had their laughs, and all of a sudden they had a victim they had to help resuscitate and provide first aid too. They all did great and we are so proud of the youth that came today. We hope they learned something and hope that they choose the Fire and EMS career upon graduation.
