We are excited to announce that the Rio Grande City 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb has officially reached 300 registered participants!

Now we need your help to reach our meaningful goal of 343 participants — one for each of the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. ❤️🚒

Join us Saturday, September 5 at Joe R. Sanchez Stadium as our community comes together to climb, walk, remember, and honor on the 25th anniversary of 9/11.

FALL/WINTER BASEBALL & SOFTBALL IS HERE!

VOLUNTEER COACHES NEEDED!

It’s time to get back on the field!
Registration for our Fall/Winter Baseball & Softball season is here, and we’re ready for another great season of RGC youth sports!

Whether your athlete is returning or stepping onto the field for the first time, this season is all about learning, growing, competing, making memories, and having FUN!

Our programs continue to grow because of our amazing athletes, parents, coaches, volunteers, and community. We can’t wait to see everyone back at the ballpark!

PLEASE NOTE: The season is projected to begin September 14 provided each division has a minimum of 4 teams with full rosters. Help us make the season happen by registering early and spreading the word!

Rio Grande City Crime Stoppers, alongside the South Texas Food Bank, will be hosting a food pantry distribution Wednesday, August 19th, beginning at 9:00 AM for individuals who previously registered.

Please remember to bring your registration information and follow all traffic directions upon arrival. Distribution will continue while supplies last.

Due to two separate incidents during our Adult Softball League, the City has made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the season.
The City provides recreational programs to bring our community together in a safe, family friendly environment. Children and families are present at these games, and inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. We regret that the actions of a few have affected everyone who participated responsibly. We appreciate the players, families, and supporters who demonstrated respect and good sportsmanship throughout the season. The safety of our community must always come first.
