SOCCER HAS OFFICIALLY KICKED OFF AT FORT RINGGOLD PARK! ⚽️

After so many years, our historic Fort Ringgold Park is once again full of life, energy, and excitement. Seeing six soccer games taking place at once is nothing short of amazing! The park is filled with joy, talent, laughter, and the sounds of our young athletes doing what they love most.

This moment would not be possible without the dedication and support of our Mayor, City Commissioners, Parks & Recreation Department, and our incredible soccer volunteers. Thank you for believing in the vision and helping make history happen once again for our community.

It fills us with immense pride and joy to continue expanding opportunities for our youth and bringing new programs to our beautiful city. Watching families come together and seeing our athletes grow both on and off the field reminds us why we do what we do.

Here’s to the beginning of an exciting season and many more memories to come. Rio Grande City soccer is here, and the future is bright!

Free meals are currently being distributed to children at Veterans Memorial Park through The Little Club Youth Foundation’s summer meal program.

Today, 75 meals will be served, helping provide local children with access to nutritious meals during the summer months.

RGC Parks & Recreation is proud to celebrate the conclusion of our High School Soccer League, made possible through an exciting partnership with La Grulla High School!

This season featured four competitive teams and showcased the talent, dedication, and passion of our local student-athletes. After a hard-fought championship match, Roma Heat FC emerged as League Champions, while Fierro FC earned the title of Finalists.

We are incredibly proud to work alongside La Grulla High School to create opportunities for our young athletes to compete, grow, and develop both on and off the field. Partnerships like these help strengthen our communities and provide meaningful experiences that our youth will remember for years to come.

Congratulations to Roma Heat FC and Fierro FC on an outstanding championship match, and thank you to all players, coaches, families, and supporters who helped make this season a success. The future of soccer in our area is bright! ⚽🔥🏆
