Our Roadhands responded promptly and completed the job this late afternoon to help ensure a safer environment for students and staff.

We have officially begun fumigation efforts as of today, April 24, 2026, to help control mosquitoes and other insects following the recent changes in weather.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our Roadhands, who work tirelessly every day and continue to show dedication and commitment in getting the job done for our community.

Enhancing emergency services in Precinct 3 has required steady partnership and collaboration. I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside Elisa Peña in these efforts, focusing on practical solutions, such as securing participation in the Rural Hospital Grant program and addressing one of our biggest challenges: staffing.

That’s why we’ve supported initiatives to recruit EMS-trained firefighters through the La Casita Fire Department, while continuing efforts to bring an ambulance unit to serve the area.

There’s still more to accomplish, but meaningful progress comes from consistency and follow-through, and that’s exactly what we remain focused on.

This work has been underway for some time, and it’s continuing forward.
