Neal Friedenthal's obituary is now up on the Holcombe Fisher website. Written by the people there with info provided by and edited by his children, Owen and Lora. It pretty well sums up a fantastic man who we will greatly miss. If anyone has any stories about him please share them.

A party celebrating his life will be forthcoming when his family figures out a date and location, you all will be kept informed of that.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our former commander and long time member Neal Friedenthal. Neal joined the 15th NJ in 1975 and acted as commander from 1989-1999. During his time as commander he fought for and won the fight to get women in as members of the N-SSA, it was his proudest accomplishment as commander. His enthusiasm for the Civil War, shooting, and knowledge will be greatly missed.

Ted Twardowski's funeral plans have been finalized. Services will be held at the Washington's Crossing Veteran's Cemetery in PA. Wednesday April 10 at 9:30 am

Afterwards there will be lunch at the American Legion in Lambertville, NJ
Location: 322 North Union St in Lambertville.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to report that our founder and first commander, Ted Twardowski, passed away this morning at the age of 96. Ted served in the Navy during WWII and Army during the Korean war, and always had a love of history. He founded the 15th just prior to the Civil War centennial to join in the events surrounding such and had never expected it to survive until today. He was very proud of the group's continued existence and of all the lifelong friendships created because of it. His knowledge and passion for the Civil War will be greatly missed.

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of a good friend of mine and of the 15th, Charlie Smithgall. He will be sadly miss by all who knew him and was one of the best friends that I made in the N-SSA
