Starting today, early in-person balloting for the Nov. 4 election will be conducted at the Effingham County Board of Elections & Registration Office, 284 Ga. Hwy 119 South in Springfield, each weekday and Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Last night, after much opposition, the effingham county board of commissioners voted to withdraw us from the live oak public library system. This will have detrimental impacts on the members of this community who rely on the library for its multitude of resources—as well as the invaluable people employed through the live oak system. Roger Burdette of District 2 said it himself last night…”this isn’t about people, its about money.” Hear what our president, Ivy, had to say to the commission.

🚨 Effingham County is breaking away! 🚨
In a historic move, commissioners voted to end the county's 80+ year partnership with Live Oak Public Libraries 📚 and launch an independent, in-county library system 🏛️.
A vocal crowd of Live Oak supporters watched as the decision unfolded 😲.
