Due to a vehicle accident, the County Line Road and 3400 E (Lewisville Highway) intersection is currently closed in all directions.

Avoid the area and use alternate routes until further notice.

Eastern Idaho is already experiencing extremely dry conditions this season, and it only takes one spark to start a fast-moving wildfire. As temperatures rise and fuels continue to dry out, now is the time to be extra cautious with all outdoor burning.

Burn Ban in effect for May 13, 2026

A wind advisory is in effect today — southwest winds 25–35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected. A burn ban is also in effect for the county. Please avoid all open burning, secure loose outdoor items, and use extra caution with equipment that could spark. Report fires or unsafe conditions to local authorities immediately. Stay safe.

The Central Fire District Commissioners will hold their regular monthly meeting on Thursday, May 14th, at 7:00 PM. The meeting will take place at Fire Station 1, located at 697 Annis Highway.

During the meeting, we will also be swearing in our three new full-time hires.

Members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend.
