Our Summer Reading Program Kickoff is happening TODAY from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the library!

Looking for even more dinosaur action? Join us Friday, June 12th from 10:30 to 11:30 for our Mosaic Dinosaurs Art Class! This super fun class is designed specifically for kids ages 5 to 10. Have an older child craving dino art? Keep an eye out for our 11+ art class later this summer!

Don't miss out on your chance to have an adventure with a new dinosaur family member! With our Adopt a Dinosaur program, this summer you can select one of FIVE dinosaur friends to spend 2 weeks with you and your family. Go on vacation, relax at home, whatever your plans are these little friends would love to join you! Available for summer fun are:

- Wiggles the Segosaurus 💚
- Spike Titan the Triceratops 🖤
- Thunder the T Rex 🦖
- Iron Jaw the Velociraptor 💜
AND
- Archibald the Ancient Brachiosaurus 🦕

You can sign up for an adoption slot between now and June 5th... and slots are limited! We WILL have a Dinosaur Adoption table set up during our Summer Reading Kick-Off!! The earliest these dinos will be ready to visit is June 2nd, but you may select the two weeks in June or July that work best for you. See you soon!

Mark your calendars! Our Summer Reading Kickoff is going to be a stomping good time! Sign ups begin on May 26th and end June 5th, but our Kickoff is a great time to do it too!

Step inside the Idaho Museum of Natural History’s mobile exhibit filled with fossils, dinosaur skeletons, hands-on activities, and real pieces of Idaho's ancient past. From nests to skulls, you'll explore the natural history of our state without leaving town!

This exciting experience is free and open to all ages. Don’t miss this chance to walk through Idaho’s prehistoric world, funded by a grant from the David B. Jones Foundation!

The mobile museum will be parked right outside the library doors!
