What a wonderful evening at Gateway! We loved seeing our Gator families come together for a night of fun, connection, and fall festivities! 🍁

Our Gateway Gators have been showing their spirit all week long! ❤️ From our fun spirit days to spreading an important message, we’ve loved seeing our students and staff participate in Red Ribbon Week!

Red Ribbon Week is a time to remind our students about the importance of making healthy choices, staying safe, and building a future filled with positive decisions. Even at a young age, these conversations help lay the foundation for a lifetime of healthy habits!

And the fun isn’t over yet! 🎃 Tomorrow, our Gators will wrap up the week by wearing their Halloween costumes! We can’t wait to see everyone’s creativity!

🌱 Rooted in Kindness. Growing in Greatness!

Mrs. Price’s class is spreading kindness in the sweetest way! 💌 Students wrote affirmations to one another, sharing encouraging words and celebrating what makes each person special.

But the kindness didn’t stop there! 🥹 Mrs. Price’s students surprised her with a whole board filled with affirmations just for her! What a beautiful reminder that when we create a classroom rooted in kindness, that love comes right back around. 🐊

Get ready to show your Gator Spirit as we celebrate Red Ribbon Week, October 26–30!

Our Gateway Student Council is excited to announce a Red Ribbon Week Spirit Day Competition! Throughout the week, students are encouraged to participate in our daily dress-up themes as we celebrate healthy choices and a drug-free future.

🏆 How the Competition Works:
- Each day, Student Council representatives will visit classrooms to count how many students have dressed up for that day's spirit theme.
- The competition will be by grade level, not by individual classrooms! All classes within each grade level will work together to show their Gator Spirit.
- Participation will be tracked throughout the week, with two winning grade levels:
• Preschool–2nd Grade: One winning grade level
• 3rd–6th Grade: One winning grade level
- 🎉 The winning grade level in each group will earn 10 minutes of extra recess!

We encourage all students to join the fun! There is no need to purchase anything new, get creative with items you already have at home. Let's make healthy choices, celebrate school spirit, and work together to earn those extra minutes of recess!

🎨🌎 Growing in Greatness!

Our 6th graders are bringing science and art together at the Desert Empire Fair! 🌦️ Students incorporated their weather unit into beautiful watercolor maps of North America, adding weather markings such as isobars, high- and low-pressure fronts, and hurricanes. They even created a key with definitions to explain their work!

A special thank-you to the Senior Girl Scouts from Troop 330 for volunteering their time to help set up the display!

Want to see their work? Visit the Still-Life Exhibit in Joshua Hall at the Desert Empire Fairgrounds!

Growing Together at Gateway! 🐊

Our Gators aren’t the only ones who enjoy a little creativity and hands-on fun! After yesterday’s meeting, our staff had the chance to put work aside for a bit, get creative, and enjoy time together. 🎨✨

We love sharing the learning, laughter, and connections that make Gateway special, not just in our classrooms, but throughout our school community.

Because when we grow together, we grow stronger! A huge shout out to Ellies Ark Design Co for these incredible kits!

🧪✨ Life at Gateway!

Our preschool and TK students got hands-on with science this morning! 💚 They explored chemical reactions, giving our youngest Gators the chance to experiment, observe, and discover science in action! 🔬

We love seeing our little learners’ curiosity grow as they explore the world around them! 🌱
