LEGAL NOTICE
PUBLIC NOTICE OF SALE OF SURPUS PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF RIDGE FARM
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village of Ridge Farm (the “Village”) adopted Ordinance No. 08-2026 declaring a 2005 Chevy Impala police Vehicle as surplus property. The Village President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Ridge Farm, Vermilion County, Illinois (the “Corporate Authorities”) will receive sealed bids for the purchase, under the successful bid, of the simple interest in the following:
2005 Chevy Impala, Current Mileage 50,808, VIN 2G1WF55K859338400 donated to the Village in 2022 and has been in service as a police vehicle (the “Personal Property”).
Said Personal Property may be viewed at the Village Hall 15 W. Woodyard Ave. in the Village of Ridge Farm. Contact the Village of Ridge Farm at 217-247-2239 for further inquiries. Further, the property is being bought “as is” with a non-working transmission and with no express or implied warranties.
Bids for the purchase of the aforesaid interest in the above-described Personal Property are hereby invited and will be received by the Village Clerk at the Village Hall located at 15 W. Woodyard Ave. PO Box 350, Ridge Farm, IL 61870 by 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026.
Said proposals shall be addressed to:

And shall bear the legend “2005 Chevy” and the name, address, and contact number of the bidder. The Bidder will, in addition to the Bidder’s bid amount will also be responsible for all expenses, title, and any other costs with respect to the purchase of said Personal Property.
All bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud at the regular board meeting of the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Ridge Farm at 7:00 p.m. July 6, 2026.
A contract may be awarded to the highest bidder or whose bid is found to be in the best interest of the Village of Ridge Farm. The Corporate Authorities of the Village of Ridge Farm reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding.
The successful bidder shall pay the full purchase price in either cash or certified funds in the total amount of the purchase price upon delivery of Deed. The Corporate Authorities further reserve the right to review and study any and all bids and to make a contract award within thirty (30) days after the bids have been opened and publicly read.
