We are dedicated to the use and preservation of the buildings and grounds of the historic location.

We are looking forward to the Richwoods Community Coffee the first Saturday of each month. This free event is for all of the people of Richwoods MO. It is also for anyone that has an interest in Richwoods. We meet at former Richwoods Methodist Church on Horine Cemetery Rd, this is a come and go event that meets from 8:30 -11:00. Hope to see you then. Being a friend!!

There is a long-standing tradition at the former Methodist Church in Richwoods MO. This tradition is to host a homecoming at the church for friends and family who have an interest in the church or an interest in the Horine Cemetery. This includes people who attended the church as members or guests. It also includes anyone who has friends or family buried in Horine Cemetery. This invitation is extended to all.
The date is Sunday, May 25, 2025. This is the traditional date and the weekend of Memorial Day. The location is The Little Brown Church of Richwoods on Horine Cemetery Road in Richwoods MO.
The day begins with a church service at 10:30 AM. The non-denominational service will be conducted by Mr. Ted Howell. Mr. Howell lives in DeSoto MO and is originally from this area. Mr. Howell also studies Richwoods history extensively and has a keen interest in the families in the area.
Following the church service there will be a carry-in/potluck dinner at the followship hall. This is scheduled to start at 12:00. Coffee and tea will be provided. Again, this is available to all.
Traditionally there has been a music session in the church after lunch. This is dependent on people showing up that would like to play and/or sing. This will start at 1:30.
Again, this is open to all. Bring your memories and stories to tell about the church, the town, the people and your friends and relatives that are interned at the cemetery. This is a come and go affair. Come for the day, church, dinner and/or the music. Everyone is welcome.

There has been a long-standing tradition at the former Methodist Church in Richwoods MO. There has been a Homecoming event that is for anyone who has a connection or history with the church or Horine Cemetery.
The Homecoming will be held Sunday, May 29, 2022. It will begin at 10:30 AM with a church service, followed by a carry-in lunch at 12:00. Beginning at 1:30 in the afternoon there will be music in the church. The music is non-secular and you are welcome to join in. If you sing, play an instrument, or just want to listen we would love to have you join us.
Wayne Horine will be conducting the church service.
Once again, this event is for anyone that has a connection with the Little Brown Church of Richwoods (former Methodist Church) or the Horine Cemetery. Please join us for a day of reconnection!

It has been five years since we had a get together for the Alexander and Blanche Horine Family. With proper social distancing I believe that we should be able to meet once again.

Memorial Weekend is May 29-30. This is traditionally a Homecoming at The Little Brown Church of Richwoods. This is long standing tradition at the church. It is also the same weekend of the last two reunions that our family has celebrated.

Please join us for a reunion of the Alexander and Blanch Family. We will meet on the Horine Family Farm and the Little Brown Church in Richwoods, Memorial weekend 2021.
