Many told us we wouldn't win and some even told us we couldn't win. They knocked down our signs and put out literature saying not to vote for Gerald Brown. They said we were up against a group that knew how to campaign better than us. Now election day has come and God has spoken on all of the above and reminded us that He is in control. With his guidance we were able to obtain victory so let me thank my family(I have the best from parents to siblings to children to aunts/uncles to cousins), LaShondra Thomas (you put up with my busy schedule, mood swings and anxiety), my church(a praying church is an awesome thing to have in your corner), my fraternity(I am a member of the finest fraternity in the world and we achieve in every field of human endeavor...period), my friends(right there with whatever I needed), the voters(you told us what you wanted) and even my haters(you made me work my tail off). But I would be a fool not to thank God...This victory was His will and I am a witness that He can do what He wants to, when He wants to and how He wants to and not because I'm so good or smart or handsome but because He is our sovereign God.

Richwood Mayoral/Alderperson Debate 2/25/16...I would like to thank the coordinator of this event, Jaquiline Nuwfoh, and her committee as well as all the citizens who came out. I want to congratulate the canidates for alderperson who participated and although neither of my opponent's were in attendance I appreciated the opportunity to share some of my plans for our town and it's future.

I want thank the children as well as the faculty and staff at Richwood Head Start for inviting me to MC their black history program, "Celebrating our Heritage...Past, Present and Future." The kids did a fantastic job and it was easy to see that their teachers and parents are greatly invested in them. I met some great kids and some very supportive parents. Thank you all again for a tremendous experience.

Enjoyed church services this morning @ Piney Grove in West Monroe. I want to thank Josh Spikes and KB Burks for inviting me. I was also honored to be invited to the American Legion Hall this afternoon to speak with some of our local veterans. Always great to be around great people.

This Saturday TeamGB will be going canvassing in North portion of the town of Richwood in what we call Glendale starting at 2:00 p.m. We are coming down the home stretch as early voting starts this Saturday as well. If you need a ride to the polls please call 318-329-1802.
