The administration and local law enforcement has been made aware of this and is ensuring proper steps to ensure student safety. 🎊CONGRATS🎊

This evening, Chorale participated in the OMEA District 15 Large Group Adjudicated Event at Upper Arlington High School where they achieved a rating of “Superior” (1).

This is the highest rating possible, and thus advances them onto the next round at State OMEA. Congrats to them!

🗓️ Mark your calendars 🗓️

January is a busy time for the NUHS Choirs! On Saturday, January 17th starting at 8am, students of NUHS will be participating in the annual OMEA Solo and Ensemble event at Pickerington North High School. All are welcome to attend individual student events.

Then on Friday, January 30th at 8pm, senior Chorale member Olivia Lewis will be participating in the OMEA All State Choir. The concert will be at the Hyatt Regency Ballroom in the Greater Columbus Convention Center, and is free and open to the public.

Come celebrate these students this month!

✨🎄 Happy Holidays 🎄✨

A full few weeks at the NU Choir Department! On December 9th, the NUMS Choirs performed their holiday concert with a full house! Then on December 18th, the NUHS Choirs performed their full holiday concert. Congrats to these students. They worked so hard to make this music happen.

A very special thank you to the Richwood Banking Company for providing the funds for the brand new choir robes for the high school students!

Good morning!

Reminder that all money and permission slips for the 8th Grade and High School Choir trip to the Capital University Christmas Festival are due on Tuesday, November 25th during the student's choir period. Tickets are $20 for students and $35 for chaperones.

Please note that if you do not turn in your money or permission slip on time, you will not be able to go on the trip. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mr. Jacky via email [email protected].

🚨BIG ANNOUNCEMENT🚨

This weekend, results for the Ohio Music Education Association’s (OMEA) All State Choir were released. We are pleased to announce that senior Chorale member Olivia Lewis was selected to participate in the ensemble!

Four students from Chorale were selected as alternate members. These students are seniors Leila Hamilton and Bridget Hensley, and juniors Adalee Bevis and Haley Overfield.

This auditioned ensemble consists of the best high school choir students in the state of Ohio. Students will spend a week in rehearsals with a world renowned conductor, and will end with a concert at the OMEA Professional Development Conference taking place January 29 - 31, 2026.

Congrats to these students!

Leading up to graduation, we will be featuring each of our senior members of the NUHS Choirs. Next up is Abbie Hess!

Abbie is a senior member of the alto section. This is her third year in choir at North Union. Post-graduation, she plans to work in video game development.

Abbie writes, "I want to thank Mr. Jacky and my friends for being positive even when times are hard."

Come see Abbie and the other graduating seniors at the NUHS Graduation this Friday, May 23rd at 7:00pm for their last performance. Congrats Abbie!
