This is the official page of the choirs of North Union Local Schools.

Choirs include 6th Grade Choir, 7th Grade Choir, 8th Grade Choir, Concert Choir, and Chorale.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

Yesterday, senior Adalee Bevis and sophomore Michayla Parks were accepted into the 2027 Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA - Ohio) All State Choir!

This is the highest honor a high school choir student can achieve in the State of Ohio. Michayla and Adalee will spend a week in Columbus with other high school musicians, culminating in a concert on January 29th, 2027 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

Leading up to graduation, we will be featuring each of our senior members of the NUHS Choirs. Next is Bridget Hensley!

Bridget is a senior member of the soprano section in Chorale. This is her eighth year in choir at North Union. Post-graduation, she plans on taking a gap year before attending university in 2027.

Bridget writes, "Special thanks to the entire chorale from 2024-2025 and 2025-2026, my teachers Mrs Crusey and Mr Jacky, and of course Adalee Bevis for helping me through high school in more ways than one and guiding me through some of the longest 4 years of my life.”

Leading up to graduation, we will be featuring each of our senior members of the NUHS Choirs. Next is Olivia Lewis!

Olivia is a senior member of the soprano section in Chorale. She is also the inaugural recipient of the National School Choral Award, and the first person in the history of North Union to participate in the OMEA All State Choir. This is her eighth year in choir at North Union. Post-graduation, she plans on majoring in forensic biology at Ohio Northern University.

Olivia writes, "I want to give a special thanks to my parents and my friends for being supportive of my decisions and being there for me the entire way. I also want to thank Mr. Jacky for pushing me to do things I would have never done without the support him and my classmates gave me. I would never have gotten to where I am without the pressure to be better from those around me.”

Natalie is a senior member of the alto section in Chorale. This is her eighth year in choir at North Union. Post-graduation, she plans on attending The Ohio State University Marion to major in social work.

Natalie writes, "I want to thank Leila, Olivia, Adalee, and Madilyn for especially being awesome. I'd also like to thank my parents and family. And all of Chorale as a whole for being such a fun group of people and making every class full of laughs. I want to also especially thank Michayla because she's a boss.”

Leading up to graduation, we will be featuring each of our senior members of the NUHS Choirs. Next up is Jacob Bays!

Jacob is a senior member of the bass section in Concert Choir. This is his first year in choir at North Union. Post-graduation, he plans on joining the workforce.

Jacob writes, "I wanna give a special thanks to my girlfriend Bella, my mom, my bonus dad Rob, and my sisters Maci, Ava, and Lydia. I wouldn’t be where I am without you guys, I love you all and thank you for always being there for me. I'd also like to say thank you to all the friends I met during my first and last year at North Union, even though I wasn’t there long those memories with you guys mean a lot to me and I’m glad I met all of you."

Leading up to graduation, we will be featuring each of our senior members of the NUHS Choirs. First up is Leila Hamilton!

Leila is a senior member of the soprano section in Chorale, and alto section in Concert Choir. She is also the inaugural recipient of the Fred Waring Director's Award for Chorus. This is her eighth year in choir at North Union. Post-graduation, she plans on majoring in chemistry at The Ohio State University.

Leila writes, "I would like to thank all of Chorale, you have truly made my senior year so memorable and I love you all so much. Also thank you to my family for always supporting me, I love you!!!"

Yesterday, students from the NUHS Chorale and Concert Choir participated in the Marion County Harry Alexander Music Festival at Ridgedale High School. Students spent the day working with Dr. Greg Ramsdell and Cynthia Ramsdell, and ended the evening with a combined band, orchestra, and choir concert.

Students who participated were Olivia Lewis, Leila Hamilton, Becca Caudy, Bella Staton, Madilyn Pheifer, Brystal Collier (not pictured) and Camryn Lookabaugh (not pictured).

🐾🧡 HISTORY MADE! 🧡 🐾

The NUHS Chorale achieved a rating of “Superior” (1) at the OMEA State Adjudicated event, making this the first time in program history. This is one of the highest honors for high school musicians in the State of Ohio. Their ratings are as followed:
