Night shift Officers Ortiz & Garcia, with help from a Texas Game Warden, safely wrangled this trespasser on Hickory Court. No citations were issued, but the suspect was escorted out of town. ⚠️ Weather Alert - Heavy Rain and Street Flooding

As of now, we are experiencing heavy rainfall leading to street flooding in several areas of Richwood.

Please use extreme caution while driving or traveling. Avoid flooded roads. Turn around, dont drown. Many low water crossings and low lying streets may be impassable.

Our officers are actively monitoring the situation and responding to any incidents.

For emergencies, call 911. For non-emergencies or to report flooding concerns, call 979-265-2222.

Weather Update - June 16 | Brazoria County remains under a Tropical Storm Watch and Flood Watch. Forecasts continue to indicate the potential for heavy rainfall, localized flooding, gusty winds, and the possibility of isolated tornadoes over the next several days.

City staff are actively monitoring conditions and preparing for potential impacts. Residents are encouraged to stay weather aware, secure outdoor items, avoid driving through flooded roadways, and have multiple ways to receive emergency information.
