🚨 Public Notice – Training in Progress 🚨

Today, NUCFD, along with other local agencies, will be conducting an Active Aggressor Training at North Union Middle School.

You may see a large presence of emergency vehicles, personnel, and possibly hear simulated activity. This is only a training exercise. There is NO active threat to the public.

This training is being conducted to ensure all responders are prepared to handle real-world emergencies as effectively and safely as possible.

⛔️🔥 OPEN BURN BAN REMINDER 🔥⛔️

Residents are reminded that open burning is prohibited in Ohio during the months of March, April, May, October, and November between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

This restriction applies to brush, leaves, yard waste, and other outdoor debris.

Please make sure you are following all state and local regulations regarding open burning. If you are unsure whether something is permitted, contact the fire department before burning.

🚨 Public Safety Announcement – Ohio Burn Ban 🚨

The State of Ohio’s seasonal burn ban is currently in effect.
Open burning is prohibited between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. during October and November.

This includes the burning of leaves, brush, and other debris. The purpose of the ban is to help prevent wildfires and reduce the risk of uncontrolled fires during dry and windy conditions.

Please use caution with any outdoor burning after 6:00 p.m. and never leave a fire unattended.

The drought burn ban has been lifted for Union county, but we are now in a burn ban during the day until November.
