Wednesday, the Richton Park Police Department hosted our leg of the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, a powerful tradition that unites law enforcement and communities in support of Special Olympics athletes. We’re honored to have been part of it every year.❤️🏅💪

We want to Thank and Salute everyone that participated!🚓🚨
Following Village of Park Forest, we had runners and bikers make their way down Governors Highway and Sauk Trail to pass the torch 🔥 to Park Forest Police Department. Next year, we want to see twice as many participants! 🏃‍♀️🏃🚴🚴‍♀️

Join us and the Richton Park Police Department Wednesday, June 10th as we PROUDLY participate & celebrate Special Olympics!

If participating on the 1.5-Mile trek, you can either meet us at the Richton Park Police Department @ 7️⃣:0️⃣0️⃣am, or directly at the leg-launch location at 216th & Gov Hwy at 7:25am!

We want to give props our department of Public Works for loading our trucks, our Citizen of the Year Monika Payne, and the dozens of high-school volunteers that graciously unloaded everything!

We are happy that we could do our part to combat food disparities in the area, and we love and appreciate all the support from you, !
