Located in Richmond, George Memorial Library is the central library of Fort Bend County Libraries, a public library system in Fort Bend County, Texas. The building opened in 1986, when the main library moved from its original location by Polly Ryon hospital in Richmond. Funded by the George Foundation, the impressive building has become renowned throughout the county and beyond, both for its archi

tecture and as the very-visible, primary symbol for the library system. Families with school-age children are invited to join us for the Craft Carnival at the library on Tuesday, June 2, at 2:00 and 3:00 pm! Participants will use their imagination and exercise their creative skills using glue sticks and crayons. There will be a variety of paper crafts to enjoy! Seating is limited. Free tickets will be available 30 minutes before the program. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the George Memorial Library.

Join us for Mother Goose Time on Tuesday, June 2, 10:15 - 11:00 am. This weekly 45-minute, multi-sensory activity -- for pre-walking infants from 1 month to 12 months of age -- is designed to encourage early educational development. Families with children of all ages are invited to join us for an abbreviated, 15-minute story time in the Children's Corner. The theme for this week's Story Time is Staff Favorites! Family Story Time Abbreviated, May 27 & 28, will take place from 10:15 - 10:30 am; it will be repeated at 10:30 - 10:45 am.
