On behalf of the VAP3 team and the Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia (BHMVA), we invite you to attend the first session of our Community Conversations series hosted at the BHMVA. This series will highlight important topics pertaining to adversities and triumphs African Americans experienced in the medical setting. We will launch our first session with the topic of Racism, Inequality, and Healthcare for African Americans with our guest speaker Cassandra Newby-Alexander, Ph.D., Endowed Professor of Virginia Black History and Culture Emeritus, Director of Joseph Jenkins Roberts Center for African Diaspora Studies, on Saturday, September 7th from 2-3:30 PM.
