VAHCDO Legislative advocates showed up in force and with a purpose in Washington, DC to meet with our Senators and Representatives and advocate for our legislative and budgeting priorities. We would like to thank Senator Mark Warner’s office for meeting with our group to discuss the importance of keeping funding levels where they are and that more is needed. We would also like to thank all of the House members that met with us as well! At a time when more investment in affordable and workforce housing is needed to address housing shortages, now is not the time to pull back. VAHCDO will continue to advocate for programs and funding that help to house Virginia’s workforce and also the most vulnerable among us.

We are now recognized at both the State and National level for our work on the expansion of the VIrginia Communities of Opportunity Tax Credit and the Landlord Participation Toolkit.
