The West Contra Costa Unified School District Food Services Department is committed to providing healthy school meals and snacks to the students of the West Contra Costa School District. The team of dedicated food and nutrition professionals supports student academic abc success and promotes healthful eating habits that lead to lifelong positive nutrition practices. School meals are served to stud

ents under the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program and follow the nutrition guidelines prescribed by The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. 🌭🍔🎉 What a fantastic day at Grant Elementary! 🎉

Today, our Food Services team brought the Mobile Kitchen to Grant Elementary for a special school
BBQ, and the excitement was contagious! Students enjoyed a delicious meal served fresh from our Mobile Kitchen, featuring favorites like hamburgers, hot
dogs, fresh sides, fruit, and milk.

Seeing so many smiling faces and students enjoying a freshly prepared meal makes events like these so rewarding. These special visits are a great way to
bring our school community together.

A big thank you to the staff and students at Grant Elementary and the community for welcoming us and helping make this event a success! 💚🍎

Hoy, nuestro equipo de Servicios de Nutrición llevó la Cocina Móvil (Mobile Kitchen) a la Escuela Primaria Grant
para una parrillada especial escolar, ¡y la emoción se sentía por todas partes! Los estudiantes disfrutaron de una deliciosa comida preparada y servida al momento desde nuestra Cocina Móvil, incluyendo favoritos como hamburguesas, hot dogs, acompañamientos frescos, fruta y leche.

Ver tantas sonrisas y a los
estudiantes disfrutando de una comida recién preparada es lo que hace que eventos como este sean tan especiales. Estas visitas son una excelente oportunidad para reunir a nuestra comunidad escolar y compartir experiencias positivas alrededor de una comida saludable y deliciosa.

Hunger doesn’t take a vacation. This summer, children
and teens 18 years old and younger can enjoy FREE nutritious meals and snacks
while school is out. Meals will be served at parks, libraries, community
centers, and other locations throughout West Contra Costa.
No application or registration is required. Children and
teens must be present to receive meals.

Hello WCCUSD Families,
Free Summer Meals are coming soon! From June 15 through August 7, our Mobile Kitchen will be serving FREE meals to all children and teens 18 years old and under at various parks and community locations throughout West Contra Costa.
Meal sites include Atchison Village, Davis Park, Marina Bay Park, Contra Costa College Pool, Richmond High School, Nichols Park, and we’re excited to add two new locations this year in the Pinole and Hercules areas.
We look forward to serving our community all summer long and helping ensure students continue to have access to healthy, nutritious meals while school is out. Stay tuned for more details and schedules! 🍎☀️🚚

🚚🍔 Today our Mobile Kitchen rolled over to West County Mandarin School for their special school BBQ Day — and what an amazing experience it was! 🎉🔥

Students were incredibly excited, and the line just kept
going all lunch long! 😄🍽️ Our team served delicious Hot Dogs 🌭, Cheeseburgers 🍔, Impossible Burger 🌱, fresh Caesar Salad 🥗, Cookies 🍪, Chips, Organic Strawberries 🍓, and Milk 🥛 to hungry students ready to enjoy a fun day together.

Events like these are a great reminder of how school meals can bring excitement, community, and fresh nutritious options directly to our students. Thank you to West County Mandarin School for inviting us and making us part of your special BBQ celebration today! 💚
