Through a RWJFoundation Health Data for Action (HD4A) grant, the Research Consortium @ examined negotiated rates for primary care using Transparency in Coverage (TiC) data (Mathematica Data Innovation Lab) and the Virginia All-Payer Claims Database (Virginia Health Information) for unprecedented comparison of Medicaid to commercial payer reimbursement rates.

Also in attendance were Sandy Chung, MD (CEO of Trusted Doctors, LLC and member of the Virginia Task Force on Primary Care ) and Joshua Smith, MD, MPH, whom we are excited to have continue his work with after his Aafp Robert Graham Center fellowship.

presented Delegate M. Keith Hodges with his 2025 Virginia Primary Care Advocacy Champion Award at the Virginia General Assembly while presenting to the Joint Commission on Health Care.

Delegate Hodges was honored with this award alongside fellow 2025 Task Force members Senator Barbara A. Favola, Delegate Todd E. Pillion, and Secretary of Finance Mark D. Sickles. We appreciate your advocacy!

While presenting an update on the Virginia Task Force on Primary Care to the Joint Commission on Health Care, 's Beth Bortz was able to present Senator Todd Pillion with his 2025 Virginia Primary Care Advocacy Champion Award.
