Will you help us feed Greater Fulton? We've got boxes placed throughout the Metro Richmond area.

We run a delivery food pantry for Greater Fulton residents. Your donation will help us fill our bags.

We are looking for some specific items that we need to create well-rounded food pantry bags. We're asking for donations of 14.5 oz cans of green beans, canned fruit, 5 oz cans of tuna or chicken, and 1 lb (16 oz) bags/boxes of spaghetti noodles.

Please donate by June 19.

We've added two new locations---Riverbend Roastery on 2623 East Broad Street and the Chickahominy YMCA at 5401 Whiteside Road in Sandston. Thank you to Board President Caitlin and Board member Christina for placing these boxes!

We still have a box at Blue Atlas at 1000 Carlisle Avenue in Greater Fulton.

The boxes at Riverbend and the Y are located just inside the front entrance. You can place food in the box during their normal operating hours.

Thank you to Riverbend Roastery, the Chickahominy YMCA, and Blue Atlas for helping us fill our pantry!

Please help us feed Greater Fulton! We're hosting a food drive throughout the city and we'd love your help to fill our pantry with specific items that are hard for us to source.

We're looking for 14.5 oz cans of green beans, canned fruit, 5 oz cans of tuna or chicken, and 1 lb (16 oz) bags/boxes of spaghetti noodles. While we appreciate other items, this is what we need the most.

We'll be sharing a series of posts that highlights where you can donate from now until June 19.

First up is Blue Atlas located at 1000 Carlisle Avenue In Greater Fulton. Thank you to Blue Atlas for hosting a box and to Board member Anika for asking them!

Their box is outside of the interior entrance at the end of the main entry hall of the schoolhouse. You can drop food off in the box during their normal hours, Thursday-Saturday 9 AM-9 PM and Sunday 9 AM-2:30 PM, 5:00-8:00 PM.

Thanks to generous donors we have been able to stop another eviction!

This means that the Greater Fulton family that we posted about last week will remain housed. We received matching donations that will give them a bit of a cushion to help with building more financial stability for the future.

We are all connected, thanks to you!

Update: We are excited to share that we only have $300 left to raise! We beat our prior record and raised a little over $1,300 in the first 24 hours that we shared this call to action, but we need $2,000 to cover rent arrears.

We are raising funds to stop an eviction of a long-time Greater Fulton family. Some of our donors have also come together to match every dollar raised up to $2,000. These additional donations will create an extra cushion so that the family is able to get ahead for June.

We need to make a payment to the landlord by May 27 to prevent an eviction that will otherwise occur in June. You can help by donating, liking, and sharing this post.

Please visit the link in our bio to donate.

Help us keep Greater Fulton families housed!

Urgent Call To Action: We need your help to stop an eviction that will impact a family in Greater Fulton.

A family living on a fixed income will face eviction in June if we aren't able to raise funds to help them. They are being negatively impacted by barriers that's placing their housing at risk.

Rent in many neighborhoods is just too much for most families to survive.

Thanks to a collection of generous donors, every dollar raised up to $2,000 will be matched. This will help the family catch up and stay current. In total we hope to make a payment of $4,000 to the landlord to cover arrears and help with a future month.

Please join us in helping them get back on track.

Did you know that we run the only 100% delivery-based food pantry in the city? We rely on volunteers to make deliveries.

We do not have enough volunteers signed up for our May pantry, which means we may have to cancel.

On most months, we need volunteer drivers on the 1st Friday and the 3rd Friday. In May because of how the food ordering days fall, our deliveries are on the 2nd and 3rd Friday.

We deliver from 2-4 PM on these days and each route takes 45 minutes or less.

Our first delivery of the month involves lifting boxes that are around 45 lbs. Our second delivery is of 25 lb pantry bags.

These are no-contact deliveries, similar to a food delivery service. We provide the round-trip routes.

Volunteer orientation is required before volunteering and is virtual.

Please visit the link in our bio or the Volunteer page on our website to express interest.

We remove barriers.

2) Nurtures talents and dreams by providing one-to-one coaching and leading workshops in either employment or financial topics

We focus on transformational, not transactional goals.

3) Runs our technology education or our outreach program, based on their skillsets

We offer career development-based technology training. We recruit new members from the neighborhoods where we work.

Do your dreams involve nurturing the talents and dreams of your neighbors? If so, please check out our postings on our website nrccafe.org/jobs and apply via Indeed.
