Tech For Troops Tech For Troops empowers Veterans with laptops, training, & online gaming for mental wellness while providing data security & keeping e-waste out of landfills.

Do you still have computers that you've replaced? Donate your computers to Tech for Troops rather than sending them to the landfill. We refurbish PCs and laptops and donate them to veterans assistance organizations, children of veterans in central Virginia and beyond. Businesses, don't pay someone to remove old computers or data center equipment. Tech For Troops will pick them up and destroy your

data - guaranteed. Our data destruction method is HIPPA, NIST, DoD and NSA certified. We hire veterans to help refurbish and recycle, and provide training and technical skills to help them get the skills they need to get great tech jobs. We need the following:

Desktop PCs
Laptops and power adapters
Flat panel monitors
Tables and iPads
Cell phones (unlock your cell phone, we guarantee data destruction)

We also accept file servers, routers, switches, and related hardware. For a fee we can accept:

Bulky old style monitors (CRTs)
Scanners
Printers
Flat Screen TVs

This Thursday, September 10, our Game Corps team is joining Texas Inn Richmond for an all-day fundraiser recognizing World Su***de Prevention Day.

From breakfast through dinner, 20% of the day’s proceeds will support Game Corps and its mission of helping Veterans find connection, purpose, and belonging through gaming, technology, and community.

What does one month of electronics recycling at Tech For Troops look like?

24 Ga***rd boxes filled with cables, computer accessories, electronic components, and other technology ready for responsible recycling.

Whenever possible, donated technology gets a second life. When it can’t be refurbished or reused, we make sure it gets a responsible destination.

In 2025 alone, Tech For Troops kept 600,000 pounds of electronic waste out of landfills.

Have old electronics taking up space? Put them to good use while supporting our mission to serve Veterans through technology.

Sometimes the timing makes all the difference. 💻

Just two days before college and as she prepared to begin her first year of homeschooling, Stephanie’s laptop stopped working.

At TECH 100 Virginia Beach, she received a refurbished laptop from Tech For Troops to help keep her connected and ready for the year ahead.
