Tech For Troops Tech For Troops empowers Veterans with laptops, training, & online gaming for mental wellness while providing data security & keeping e-waste out of landfills.

Do you still have computers that you've replaced? Donate your computers to Tech for Troops rather than sending them to the landfill. We refurbish PCs and laptops and donate them to veterans assistance organizations, children of veterans in central Virginia and beyond. Businesses, don't pay someone to remove old computers or data center equipment. Tech For Troops will pick them up and destroy your

data - guaranteed. Our data destruction method is HIPPA, NIST, DoD and NSA certified. We hire veterans to help refurbish and recycle, and provide training and technical skills to help them get the skills they need to get great tech jobs. We need the following:

Desktop PCs
Laptops and power adapters
Flat panel monitors
Tables and iPads
Cell phones (unlock your cell phone, we guarantee data destruction)

We also accept file servers, routers, switches, and related hardware. For a fee we can accept:

Bulky old style monitors (CRTs)
Scanners
Printers
Flat Screen TVs

Tech For Troops was proud to be part of Military Appreciation Night with the Richmond Kickers at City Stadium on May 30.

Representing Tech For Troops was George Gagnon, our Head of Business Development and a U.S. Army Veteran, who participated in the evening as the presenting sponsor representative.

Before kickoff, fans were treated to a flyover by a Virginia State Police UH-1 helicopter, creating a memorable tribute to the men and women who have served our nation.

Events like this bring community, service, and mission together while helping raise awareness for Tech For Troops’ work supporting Veterans through technology, digital skills training, workforce development, and new opportunities.

🍔 Support Veterans While Enjoying a Great Meal 🎮

On June 17, our gaming division, Game Corps, is hosting a Dine & Donate Night at Ford’s Garage in Glen Allen, VA.

From 6 PM to 9 PM, 15% of all food purchases will be donated to Game Corps, helping support Veterans through gaming, community, and connection.

If you’re in the Richmond area, stop by, enjoy a burger, meet members of the Game Corps community, and learn more about how gaming is helping Veterans build friendships and find support.

We recently received a message from Veteran Yvonne Wilson that made our day.

Yvonne wanted to let us know she completed her Bachelor of Social Work degree and shared how a computer provided through Tech For Troops helped her throughout her academic journey.

“The computer you provided became an essential tool throughout my academic journey, helping me complete coursework, assignments, and ultimately earn my degree. I simply wanted you to know that I made it across the finish line.”

We’re proud that we could provide the tool, but Yvonne deserves all the credit for the hard work, late nights, perseverance, and dedication it took to earn that degree.

Congratulations, Yvonne, on earning your Bachelor of Social Work degree. Thank you for your service, and thank you for sharing your story with us. We can’t wait to see where your next chapter takes you.

A look back at a visit from Shanunte and the team from The Vet Way Foundation as they toured Tech For Troops and saw our mission in action.

During the visit, Shanunte got a firsthand look at how we securely destroy hard drives to help protect sensitive data before equipment is recycled or repurposed. The team also picked up donated desktop computers that will help support their mission and the communities they serve.

Partnerships like these help extend the impact of every technology donation and create more opportunities for Veterans and their families.
