RMTA is moving to a 30-day statement cycle! 📫

Beginning in September, customers without E-ZPass will receive statements approximately every 30 days instead of every 15 days, giving them fewer statements and a more consolidated view of their toll charges.

We’re celebrating a milestone nearly half a century in the making!

Last week, we took time to celebrate Tommy Fields. After an amazing 48 years with RMTA, Tommy is retiring and beginning an exciting new chapter.

Did you know that in 1978 when Tommy started with RMTA, the average price of gas was around 63 cents a gallon and the average cost of a new Ford Mustang Coupe was $3,824?

Fast forward 48 years, and a lot has changed, but Tommy’s dedication to RMTA has remained constant. He began his career as a toll collection attendant and worked his way up to toll supervisor—a remarkable journey built on strong leadership and commitment. And we are incredibly grateful for everything Tommy has contributed to our Authority over nearly five decades.

Congratulations, Tommy, on a well-deserved retirement! Thank you for 48 years of service, dedication and commitment. We wish you all the best in your exciting next chapter—you will be missed!

A little E-ZPass maintenance goes a long way. Keep these tips in mind to avoid fees and make sure your tolls are reading correctly:

🔹 Keep your account balance up.
🔹 Make sure your transponder is properly mounted on your windshield.
🔹 Keep your vehicle and license plate info up to date.
🔹 E-ZPass transponders don't last forever. Most last 9–14 years depending on the model. If yours is older or not reading properly, it may be time for a replacement.
