Last week, DBVI spent a fun day with several individuals who are blind as they explored the Light Rail in Norfolk. They had a hands on tour where they opened and closed the train doors, sat in the conductor seat, blew the horn and explored the controls.

The group then rode the train from the Norfolk State University station to the Newtown Road station. They tried the new ticket machines and read the new braille signs before heading back.

It was a great day of learning, confidence building and adventure!
