April is National Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.
Last week, Col. Samuel Morgan III, Commander of the Blue Grass Army Depot, Lt. Col. David Dellerman, Commander of the Blue Grass Chemical Activity, a tenant unit on the BGAD, and Ms. Shannon Pendergrass, Site Project Manager of the Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant, another tenant unit on the BGAD, signed a proclamation urging all staff, employees and families on BGAD to work together to prevent s*x crimes in their workplace and communities while committing to an assault-free, harassment-free workplace.
In part, the proclamation read: “We remain steadfast in our efforts to stop crimes of s*xual violence, provide care for victims, and raise awareness about the many forms of s*xual assault. We must continue our work to eliminate s*xual assault from our society and promote safe relationships, homes, and communities.”
Please join our leaders in pledging to prevent, identify, and prosecute s*xual assault and s*xual harassment in our workplace and communities.
