On August 26th, we proudly celebrated the Commonwealth Mentorship Program (CMP) Class of 2026 Graduation!

Here are a few highlights from this graduating cohort:

• We had participants from 32 different state agencies, universities, and community colleges.
• 41 mentor-mentee pairs graduated, maintaining a 100% matching success rate with an 81% retention rate.
• 90% of participants agreed that the program helped advance their career goals.
• 15 participants reported vertical or horizontal career movement during the program.

As OWE Assistant Director and CMP Program Advisor Jonathan Singleton noted during the ceremony, "From mentorship to mastery... today we celebrate the journeys that shaped leaders, strengthened engagement, and built lasting connections."

Happy 100th Anniversary to the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation! 🎉

Today at the Virginia Lottery's Main Street Centre Courtyard, employees gathered to celebrate a full century of conserving Virginia's natural resources, parks, and waterways. From checking out the great interactive booths by the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation and Virginia Energy Sense, to beating the heat with free King Of Pops - Richmond popsicles, it was an incredible morning.
