One of the most-visited attractions in the Richmond, Va., area, Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden offers year-round beauty on a historic property with more than 50 acres of spectacular gardens, dining and shopping. Mark your calendars for our Genworth Free Community Day! Garden admission will be FREE on September 7th to celebrate the holiday. 🦋🌺🌳🌞

The universally-accessible Klaus Family Tree House will be open for all to enjoy, as will the Waterway splash pad in the Children’s Garden.

Visitors can explore our outdoor art exhibition, Alebrijes: Creatures of a Dreamworld, with installations located throughout both the iconic and brand-new areas of the Garden. Be sure to visit the Kelly Education Center and Robins Visitor Center to take in three new art exhibitions:

The Fall Plant Sale is held outside in Parking Lot B at the Garden (no admission fee or ticket necessary.) Friday, September 18 & Saturday, September 19, 2026 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

We are excited to host a Lakeside Community Night this Thursday, Aug. 27. If you attend one of the nearby schools or live in the Lakeside Community, please join us for a fun night filled with food, music, and a splash! Waterway will be open late for all to enjoy.

Come enjoy a special Storytime at 5:30 p.m. We will also have a craft activity that all can enjoy. All ages are welcome! 📕

For neighbors with a 23228 zip code – Admission $10 for adults, FREE for 17 and under. Free for members.
For all others, normal admission rates apply.

The Conservatory will be open with the exception of the Subtropical House. Garden will be open until 9:00 p.m.
