Today, we get to celebrate someone who spends so much of her time making sure others are seen, supported, and cared for. Happy Birthday to our Executive Director, Sarah Scott.
This past year has not been an easy one. It has brought moments that could have made anyone step back, slow down, or lose sight of what comes next. But Sarah has continued to show up.
She has shown up for our staff. She has shown up for our schools. She has shown up for students and families. And even on the hard days, she has continued to lead with strength, compassion, grace, and an unwavering belief in the work we do.
Sarah has a heart for students that is impossible to miss. She keeps our team focused on the reason we are here, reminds us that every student deserves someone in their corner, and leads in a way that makes all of us want to do more and do better.
Strength does not always look loud. Sometimes it looks like continuing to care deeply when life has given you every reason to feel tired. Sometimes it looks like showing up for others while carrying things they may never fully see. Sarah has been that kind of example for all of us.
We are so incredibly proud of her, not only for the leader she is, but for the person she is. So today, we hope Sarah gets to feel a little of the love, encouragement, and kindness that she gives to so many others throughout the year.
Sarah, you deserve a year filled with lighter days, big laughs, beautiful moments, and so many good things. We are grateful for you; we are proud to have you leading our CIS family, and we hope you know just how loved and appreciated you truly are.
